Great Gazania Grab

Great Gazania Grab

Sunday 22 April

On Sunday April 22 The Gazania Free Goolwa campaign will be officially launched at Goolwa Beach with a family friendly, community event, the ‘Great Gazania Grab.’ Participants will work together to remove a dense patch of Gazania bordering a dune reserve so the area is ready to be replanted, while enjoying competitions, games and catering.

And don't forget these other fantastic initiatives in place to help create a 'Gazania Free Goolwa'

  • The ‘Gazania Free Gardening Competition’ is accepting photograph entries until the end of May. Gardens will be judged in three categories: best garden, most improved garden and best photograph. Prizes include indigenous plant packs.
  • The Alexandrina Community Nursery on Kessell Road, Goolwa, is conducting a ‘Gazania Plant Swap,’ where residents can exchange Gazanias removed from their gardens for a free pack of indigenous plants.
