Strathalbyn Traffic, Parking and Streetscape Plan

Provide feedback on the Plan until 5pm Friday 28 July 2017.

Council has engaged MRCagney, in partnership with Jensen Plus, to assist us in preparing a Traffic, Parking and Streetscape Plan for the District Centre of Strathalbyn. This plan is in direct response to the actions within the Strathalbyn Town Plan 2014-2024, which has set the direction for Strathalbyn’s future.

Having undertaken a three-day Strathalbyn Immersion in March, the consultant team have been preparing a series of plans to address a number of identified traffic management and car parking issues and how these can be integrated into a more appealing and pedestrian-friendly street environment. The other critical component of the project is the linking of the two main streets, Dawson and High Streets.

We are seeking our community’s opinion on the proposed streetscape concepts, intersection treatments, and the paving, landscaping, furniture and wayfinding options.

Council staff and the consultants will be present and available to walk through the proposed streetscape concepts, and parking and traffic management proposals and answer any questions on the draft plan at a consultation day on Wednesday 12 July 2017. We will be keen to receive feedback on the proposals during the day.

The consultation day is occurring on 12 July at Shop 4, 10 Dawson Street, Strathalbyn between 9:30am and 6pm.

If you are unable to attend the consultation day, a display will be placed within the Strathalbyn library between Thursday 5 July and Friday 28 July.

Consultation closes at 5pm on Friday 28 July, 2017.
