Performer Details Presented by Alexandrina Council - Following on from the resounding success of ‘Cole’ in 2016, the brilliant Michael Griffiths returns to Centenary Hall in 2017 with another spectacular show – ‘Adolescent’. This time around Michael is focussing on the prolonged nostalgia of his adolescent years, the 1980s. Join him as he recalls falling in love, having an identity crisis about his conception and how touring in jukebox musical has happily kept him emotionally immature. Featuring songs he knows all too well from Jersey Boys, Priscilla and lots of his first love, 80s pop including Spandau Ballet, A-ha, Duran Duran and Culture Club, Michael Griffiths isn’t going to let turning 40 halt his adolescence! "It’s a wonderfully nostalgic show, as we trek back with him to the 1980’s … Griffiths is a polished performer, a skilful raconteur and an impressive singer and musician." Time Out Melbourne. "Performed with a comedic charm and boyish charisma, Griffiths takes the audience on a personal journey from his home-grown roots in little old Adelaide to the Broadway stage." Rip It Up. "Griffiths is a consummate performer, as his Madonna and Annie Lennox shows have more than amply demonstrated, but in Adolescent he’s even better, for the simple reason that he’s entirely being himself. Go and see this show." Adelaide Advertiser
