Festivals and events play an integral role in shaping and building our communities, attracting new visitors to the region and promoting our towns as high quality tourism destinations.
Alexandrina Council is committed to promoting and supporting diversity through festivals and events that are well planned and conducted. These events should be capable of contributing positively to the profile of the region, generate significant visitation and economic growth and enhance the lifestyle and attractiveness of the region.
Organising an event can be a complex task and there are a number of agencies that require approvals and legislative requirements to consider.
An Events Alexandrina A – Z Information Kit is available to assist Event Organisers in planning events in the Alexandrina Region.
